An inspiring "Christmas" story--but without any mention of Santa--or the baby Jesus for that matter!

We increasingly live in a world that sees the blending of many cultures, religions, and social practices.  This is especially so at the arrival of the seasonal holiday period that showcases the traditions that inspire adherents of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and others.  My heritage is that of Christianity and in the spirit of the season—for me and my family, at least--the Christmas “story” revolves around the birth of a man whose life was one that offered redemption of mankind and the promotion of well-being for people everywhere—the story of Christ.

Yet, the story of Narayanan Krishnan, shown in the video clip below, is a moving one, one that demonstrates that the true meaning of the season can be a universal one.  Indeed, is not one that necessarily requires an exclusive, proprietary “ownership” of any one religion.   The life of Mr. Krishnan shows what no single religious or philosophical explanation or homily or sermon is able to articulate.  It is inspiring to view and I share it with you in that spirit.

All the best to each of you of—and especially today what this precious time of the year represents!
