What's new in consumer tech products--but bordering on the wacky!

Yes, it really can sometimes be a weird world of consumer tech products at CES!

While technology leads to some very useful devices--it also leads to what's, on occasion, bizarre!  I am alway struck--not so much by what some people "invent," but what some think will find a significant "market" out there.

This year's array of products at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show is no exception.  Check out what's being offered this week, mostly that's strange--but the last clip at the bottom of the post, now that's to be highly desired!

Need a keyboard that cares for your fingers and arms?

Check out the ergonomic keyboard that periodically changes shape and stimulates blood flow in the fingers--so you won't get carpel-tunnel syndrome quite so easy--for just $150!

Need a new, designer-line bluetooth ear device?

Earloons have made some interesting alternatives for you to choose from--yes, some really interesting ones, indeed.  Get ready to pay about $59 for the distinction!

How can you go swimming without one of these?

Need a Liquid Image Scuba mask?  You can have one if you desire--bet you'll be the first on your block!

Does one need new headphones designed by the musical artist you're actually listening too?

Well, apparently you do if you listen to a lot of Lady Gaga or Dr. Dre--all offered by High Design.  Why didn't someone tell me before now?

I'll bet a great deal of money that you don't have one of these!

Yes, who do you know who has a 3-D printer?  You can be the first of all your friends to have an open source 3-D printer made by MakerBot's Cupcake CNC-3-D Printer.  Well, you don't exactly get a printer...you get the kit for a printer for only $950.

The winner of the cheeziest promotion of the entire CES

Bedazzled phone covers--and the promotion that goes with them!

Now, this IS cool, very big, and incredibly expensive--and [unfortunately] not really available yet:  A 153-inch TV!

This is what every guy--and many gals--would love to have...if they had a big enough place to set it up in.  Check it out...it's amazing to see!

Too bad the Consumer Electronics Show only happens once a year!
